The Scream

I chose to paint the scream of the author Edvard Munch (1863-1944).

Edvard is a deep author and terribly distressed. The Scream, is the pictorial expression of a personal fear of Munch when he was walking with a friend and represents a situation of fear and anguish limited and unsustainable.

Well, the author of the paint, his framework expressionism Europe through his reflection through pictures. Edvard had a life was very difficult because he suffered near death for example he suffered the death of his mother and his sister, they victims they were victims of tuberculosis. The author apparently was obsessed with death, madness, and disease.

The paint is in the National Gallery in Oslo, Noruega but apparently four versions were created and the other two paints are in the Munch Museum and the fourth version is private. After these pictures were stolen but recovered quickly.

Then, I´m going to explain, that is the paint?, I can understand that the paint is an expression of anguish, hopelessness, loneliness of the people in the world. But some analyzers said that  the author wanted to express his own life, maybe it was so, although seeing the painting is difficult to know what Edvard Munch wanted to express  with colors that gave the painting for example it has orange, blue, red, and other colors not specific. But the colors are the representation of the landscape in the bottom is Oslo seen from the hill of Ekeberg.

I decided for this painting because one day I was reading about the main authors in painting, caught my attention the life and thought of Edvard Munch. He tried to dissect souls, it was fantastic I always think in, and how is the soul? So his thought was through the expression of faces this inspiration bring to Edvard Munch thought in the mind of modern man.
